Warm-ups and rest timing

Each session starts with a short warm-up matched to what you are about to train, and rest times that follow the exercise and your goal.

PromptTrain is coming soon to the App Store and is not available to download yet. Plans and limits may change before launch.

The session review screen with a short warm-up listed above the first exercise, each move with a swap button

At a glance

  • Warm-up on every session, skippable
  • Rest suggestions follow exercise and goal
  • Spoken cues
  • Weight suggestions use how hard your last sessions felt

Warm-up first

The warm-up is a short run of lighter movements for your chosen muscle group, each on its own screen with a timer or rep count. It takes a few minutes.

Skip it if you are already warm. You can also swap any move, remove one as long as the warm-up stays at least 5 minutes, or add a cardio machine move from a picker.

Rest between sets

After each set the app suggests a rest time based on the exercise and your goal. Tap the countdown to start it, or skip if you are ready. Spoken cues let you keep your eyes off the screen.

Logging as you go

When you finish an exercise, enter your sets, reps and the heaviest weight, then save. You can edit or delete anything you logged during the session. You rate how each exercise felt, and that rating guides your next weight and rest suggestions.
